What is a Mike Holmes inspection? A Holmes inspection is a third-party home assessment completed by a Mike Holmes Inspector.
Multiple Holmes inspections are conducted throughout the home-building process when building a Holmes Approved House. These inspections ensure unbiased quality control, maximum warranty protection, top resale value and homeowner peace of mind.
The Holmes Inspection Process
Holmes Approved Homes are inspected a minimum of three times throughout construction. These comprehensive assessments go above and beyond local inspection requirements to ensure quality and energy efficiency.

Mike Holmes + Hasler Homes – Our Story
Mike Holmes first contacted Hasler Homes in February 2020. To be honest, we thought it was a hoax! Why would Mike Holmes be calling us? Eventually, Greg Hasler looked into it and discovered that the call was legit – Mike Holmes wanted to work with us. He was impressed by our long history of building high-performance homes, including Net Zero homes, and believed we were one of the best builders in our area.
At this point, we were intrigued (and honoured) but still hesitant. At Hasler Homes, our clients are our priority, and we wanted to know if the Holmes Approved Homes program could offer added value. So, Greg began researching the benefits for homeowners.
He quickly discovered that the program focuses on quality, integrity, and trust – three core values Hasler Homes shares. On top of this, Greg learned that Mike Holmes is a great homebuilder – who just happened to become a TV personality. To know what a high-quality home looks like, you need to know poor quality – and Mike Holmes has seen it all! Greg Hasler also discovered that several respected industry peers were working with Mike. Knowing their quality work and that they were part of the program convinced Greg that joining was the right thing to do – for Hasler Homes and our clients.
