The Hasler Homes Team is always looking for ways to give back and this Christmas we came up with the fun idea of giving back by asking visitors to the Parade of Trees in Lynn Valley Village to take a selfie with our sponsored tree!A few members of the Hasler family have Diabetes so in honour of them, we chose Diabetes Canada as the recipient of our #HHGivingTree selfie earnings. With over 11 million Canadians living in Canada, we also know the Hasler’s are not alone. As this being our first time doing the #HHGivingTree, we didn’t know what to expect in how many selfies would be taken. Via social media, we let our followers, local businesses, friends and family know what we were doing, and we were happily surprised that we had over 30 people (including a few pups) come take a picture with our tree! At a time of year when we are all so busy already, it was great to see some of our community come out to our tree and support Diabetes Canada. You might even recognize some friendly faces if you live around the North Shore:Thank you to everyone who took a selfie with our #HHGivingTree, we have sent a letter along with a cheque to Diabetes BC for $350. In addition to donating for the selfies taken, Hasler Homes took the amount from the selfies and multiplied it to give more. We are looking forward to continuing to support Diabetes Canada in the future with other events and/or campaigns.
