Home renovations are still as popular as ever.

Home renovations are still as popular as ever. With most of us spending much more time at home than in the past, it’s no surprise that the idea of change became particularly alluring. In our clients minds, change takes on many meanings; from an exterior transformation to an incredible spin on a family’s midcentury home. Each one of these home transformations offered our team an opportunity to bring a client’s vision to life, while working alongside designers, architects and trades.

10. You’ll Love This Scandinavian Transformation

Designer, Amanda Evans, worked with our client to reimagine their entire home, which now welcomes this family home to come together in a much more versatile space than before.,

9. Guest Bathroom Fit for a Queen.

Designer, Ashley Kitchen, had an exciting project on her hands when it came to this bathroom renovation. Our clients wanted their guest bathroom to be unexpected, regal, and all things gold.

8. A Floating Renovation, A First for Team Hasler

A second home in the city for this busy couple. A Coal Harbour home required a surface level renovation, and a new kitchen. Kitchen was the winner here, being a beautiful concrete blue finish, designed by German made Leicht kitchens. A perfect pairing considering the location.

7. An Eastern Inspired West Coast Renovation

Designer, Michelle Miccaro, worked tirelessly to add all the custom hand crafted finishings to this home. From the curtains made by Michelle, to the tables and mantles the homeowner crafted himself, this entire renovation was a personal journey.

6. Love a Home with Arches

Designer duo, aka, our clients had a vision and didn’t go down the route of hiring a professional designer. Which in some cases like this, works. They found a property from where they grew up, but the home wasn’t going to work for their growing family. This home is still under construction, but we had to share the progress thus far.

5. From Dark and Dreary to Bright and Open

Another client-led renovation and the backyard might be our favourite part of it all. While the new open concept kitchen, dining, and living room definitely did the trick for this dated home, the big accordian doors that now lead you out to the outdoor kitchen and pool, was the perfect addition for this family.

4. A Very Vancouver Inspired Design Choice

When it comes to rethinking outdoor space in Vancouver, the weather is a large part of the conversation. We were thrilled when our clients wanted to look at retractable awnings for their front porch, and they ended choosing one from Wizard Awnings. The view from there is absolutely stunning so we completely understood why they wanted to invest in adding this feature for year round enjoyment.

3. Modern Farmhouse Elevates this Dark and Date Home

Designer, Stephanie Hilton, worked closely with these homeowners as they chose colour schemes and finishings for their main floor, master bedroom and ensuite. The outcome is a modern farmhouse inspired design, with a grey palette combined with whites and natural wood.

2. From Rough to Radiant

We weren’t surprised when Style At Home Magazine approached us and wanted to feature this home in their May 2019 issue. What started as some small changes quickly turned into a full home renovation. The grandfather of the homeowners, an architect, flew in from New Zealand to consult with the sketches. A Case Study inspired home, paying homage to Frank Lloyd Wright’s work in Palm Springs. Natural light was a priority and also acted as ‘living art’ as the home is framed with greenery.

1. A Midcentury Inspired Design with a Very Modern Kitchen, and it Works

Designer duo, Chambers & Starks (no longer),  executed what has to be one of our most popular renovations. We really pushed for the clients to keep the post and beam ceiling. The combination of the uber modern black kitchen umbrella’d by this nostalgic post and beam ceiling is a dramatic combination that caught everyone’s attention.
